MAXPEDITION - Tear Away Map Case with GPS/Compass/Strobe Pouch

Details
Category: Pouches
Created: Sunday, 09 August 2009 22:07

DIMS: Overall size: 7" wide x 4" high x 1.5" thick
Map case: Opens to 12" x 12"; folded dims 5" x 5" x 1"
GPS/Compass/Strobe pouch: 2.25" wide x 1.25" thick; height adj. 4-5"
Map case comes with one 12x12 a LOKSAK dry bag included

This pouch kit clearly was made with the serious navigator in mind. The main aspect is the map case which is held in by an adjustable SRB. When ready for use the map portion can be torn off the velcro and unfolded to a no joke 12" x 12" size. This allows a lot of map to be viewed at one time. A single zipper allows map access and for those who plan on getting wet on their adventures, a LOKSAK dry bag is even included.

To accompany the map pouch is the gadget pouch to the side which is just like the standalone version of the GPS/Compass/Strobe Pouch, however has an adjustable SRB. Although more slack to deal with, I like the adjustment capability better. Anyway, hence the name you can fit your navigation gadget of choice inside. The back of the patch kit has modified PALS spec to allow some channel fudging. 2, 3" Tac Ties will work, or feel free to use more if a tighter mount is desired.
