This isn't the most intuitive section placement, however I thought it was the best place until I make a holster section. While getting the GI SLMC I also picked up one of these Silent Thunder holsters. The main concept was to use the great qualities of a kydex holster and to add leather on the inside so give smooth and quiet functionality. The final product is very professionally done and succeeds in its design goals. Each one is made weapon specific with hand dominance and a choice of mounting option.

For those who just can't stand the clicking noise other holsters make when fully inserting their weapon, definitely check out the Silent Thunder. As you may have guessed, drawing the weapon is just as quiet.

Since there aren't any snaps or hoods the overall security level is low, however extracting the weapon is about as easy as possible. To further adjust the grip of the holster, there are 2 screw tension points to let the user balance security versus an easy release. I was able to find a nice point where I could still do rolls and cartwheels and such without losing my gun, yet still able to draw my gun without hassle. Mounting options are vast ranging from belt loops, dropped offset, OWB, IWB, and more. Most use the circular screw mount to attach that allows for some serious rotational possibilities. Common weapon cants are easiliy achievable and this can be pushed much further into 150 degree territory. To adjust the Silent Thunder only one hex tool is needed which is generously included.

As a small downside I believe the holsters only come in black, but overall the Silient Thunder is a nice ride blending new and old holster tech. Made in the USA.
